| The 1931 Eugene Sartori double bass bow was
used to play the 1785 Panormo double bass and Paul Gentile fashioned this miniature
instrument in order to keep the pair together. Gentile's bow was replicated from the original. He faithfully captured the style and the subtle beauty of the master's work as seen in the head of the bow. The materials used in the 3 3/4" replica are the same as those in the original: ebony, pearl, raw silk, mastodon, and 3 feet of silver winding on the ballast. This miniature consists of 28 separate components and took three months to complete. Interested in owning the collection? Click here. |
